MUSICAL THEATRE CLASSES: [ starting August 10th
Auditioning for the Fall musical . . . "Hocus Pocus" ]
Classes focus on the development and application of voice projection and articulation, singing, moving, and improvisational and acting skills necessary for performing in Musical Theatre. Students will be required to: audition, rehearse and then perform in a fully-costumed musical and theatrical presentation. Classes run for 8 & 10-week sessions.

Vocal Group Instruction:
'Young Starz' Singing Class: (Ages 5 - 8)
Learn basic vocal skills necessary for a younger vocalist. Students will begin to develop stage presence and the confidence needed to perform in front of an audience. The class will culminate with a performance.
'D.E.E.- veloping Starz': (Ages 9 - 12)
This class is for the more experienced young vocalist. Students will begin to learn how to: breath from the diaphragm, utilize vocal projection, extend their range and other vocal techniques. Positive feed-back from the instructor and class-mates will help eliminate stage fright. The class will culminate with a performance.
'D.E.E.- fining Idols': (Ages 13 - 17)
This class is the 3rd of its prerequisites and should fine-tune and refine vocal techniques typical of the experienced singer. Students should have achieved a solid understanding of diaphragmic breathing and other complex vocal techniques. The class will also have an opportunity to participate in some fundamental part-singing, and sight-singing. The class will culminate with a performance.
'Specialty Vocal / Musical Groups'
The 'Jr. SCV SHOWSTOPPERS' (Ages 7 to 14- or selected according to their individual ability level)

A 'Brand' new group - featuring 'triple-threat' (gifted in singing, dance & theatre) exceptionally talented boys and girls; The show group will perform for charity events, special city-wide and studio/network-affilliated functions.
The 'Sr. SCV SHOWSTOPPERS' (Ages 25 to ?- and selected according to their individual ability level)

This is the 'Adult' or 'Parent' version of the 'SCV Showstoppers' - another 'Brand' new group - featuring men and women (gifted as vocalists & musicians, with a theatrical-inclination) an exceptional group of adults. The show group will perform for community and charity events, special city-wide and studio/network-affilliated functions.
The 'DEE-vas' (Ages 12 to 14 - or selected according to their individual ability level)
[Now auditioning for a very select group of girls who will perform city-wide charity and special events - as well as - studio / network-affiliated special functions.]
The group will perform solos intertwined with themed group numbers sung in 3 & 4-part harmony; Auditions will require the ability to both sing and dance fairly well; (music styles include pop, Broadway, country, jazz, etc.). In addition, they perform as 'Carolers' for special events during the holidays. Dance and movement routines will align with their varied repertoire of songs.
The 'DEE-va-ettes' (Ages 7 to 9 - or selected according to their individual ability level)
[Now auditioning for a very select group of girls who will perform city-wide charity and special events - as well as - studio / network-affiliated special functions.] The group will sing solos intertwined with themed group numbers - in 2 & 3-part harmony; (music styles include pop, Broadway, country, etc.) The girls are also taught dance and movement routines which highlight their songs.
A ‘Hip-Hop’ Group [Boys will learn to sing in 2, 3 & 4-part harmony-similar to groups such as 'Jonas Brothers', 'In Sync' & 'The Backstreet Boys'. They will also be learn hip-hop steps and routines to compliment their songs.]
[Private and group instructional classes will soon be expanding to include other types of curriculum in the arts, such as the 'Visual Arts'.]
